Open Day - S. John Bosco

Our oratory, is entitled to as many S. John Bosco and in occasion of the anniversary we are experiencing a week of festivities. Specifically, how will the ACR Saturday Open Day.
For a Saturday, activities will be open and non-members have every boy is invited to bring a buddy. During the afternoon we will propose a big game, a short prayer and then we'll snack together.

For those unfamiliar with S. John Bosco

Grande apostle of the young, their father was driving and to salvation by the method of persuasion, and authentic religion, love always tended to prevent rather than punish. Among the most beautiful fruits of his education, Saint Dominic Savio, fifteen, who understood his lesson: "We here at the school of Don Bosco, make holiness consist in being very happy and fulfilling perfect of our duties. " St. John Bosco was declared at the closing of the Redemption, on Easter Sunday of 1934. On January 31, 1988 John Paul II declared Father and Teacher of Youth "by providing that under that title he is honored and invoked, especially by those who accept his spiritual children."

Etymology: John = Yahweh is beneficial gift of the Lord, the Hebrew

Martyrology: Memory St. John Bosco, priest, after a tough childhood, ordained priest, he devoted all his energies to the education of adolescents, and founded the Salesian Society, in collaboration with St. Mary Mazzarello, the Institute of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians, for the training of youth work and Christian life. On this day in Turin, after his many works, piously passed to the eternal banquet.
